Lavanya... liveliness of feeling

The artist's creativity, a fertile imagination, he sees not through his eyes only also through the vision. The liveliness of feeling & grace by imparting the emotional touch to human figure in painting.

'New' is always welcome.

In the contemporary world  art should be modernistic, ideas which cutting-edges, concept should be youthful & unique; subject should be original, in vogue, untouched. That is all about contemporary art.

Nature of Art...Swabhav.

Swabhav...the purer & finer subtle body of an object which is the very expression of its own essential nature. The means by which this effect is produced is characteristic of inward vision of an Artist like Me. It is done by a bold, firm ; pure & strong outline & a total suppression of everything that would interfere with its boldness, purity, strength would intense significance of Line. The strong subtle line & pure shapes which make the humanity of human form & humor in life. This power of line is the source of remarkable union of greatness & moving grace which continues in My Paintings.

The Artist speaks with colors & lines and He is Creator of world of imagination, world of entertainment.A picture is worth a thousand words, it can convey far more and is not restricted by any linguistic or cultural barriers.

Subject - The Soul of My Painting...

Simplicity in subject is very much important for painting. Simplification of idea is the basic step in painting. The subject which easily relate with life are material for my paintings. And catching the humor, which is hide in every incidence of life, giving a liveliness to the painting.

Simplicity in Art.

Art matters the same way language matters -- or the way breathing matters! It is a fundamental component of what makes us uniquely human.

Art is all about beauty & ugliness.

The Artist is a part of the universe giving expression to the ideals of its own eternal beauty & unchanging law.It is not necessary for all art to be beautiful, now terrible but always with that living quality which transcends the limited conceptions of beauty & ugliness. Nature is sometimes soft & smiling, sometimes also red in tooth & clew;in her life & death are found. Creation, preservation & destruction are equally her work. Her images may therefore be beautiful or terrible. Art is about beauty & ugliness both at same time.

Art...expression of joy.

The art is not a faithful photographic reproduction of nature but it is an idealization of nature and individualization of eternal beauty.
The purpose is more important than need. And the purpose behind the art give the meaning to it.Art is the world recreated by human out of the material provided by nature with the help of creativity & imagination he has been gifted with.

Not only an exhibition...but more than that

The exhibition at Hotel Oberoi is milestone in my career. After the terrorist attack of 26/11in Hotel Oberoi Mumbai , it was the first exhibition in hotel. It was an opportunity for me to give my, condoles who loosed their life in that attack and tribute for them who fought bravely. It was a Chitra-Shradhanjali.

Art is the instrument of Peace.A painting is worth a thousand time more than a thousand words. Some people cannot  read, some not able to hear but all of them can understand the language of painting. An
artist should stand for peace. I stand for peace.
I have also painted to pay my tribute to the police officers who fought bravely against the terrorists that struck Mumbai during the 26/11 attacks. And Mr.Vishwas Nangre-Patil one of the brave IPS officer

The Artist and His Society.

Traditionally,we have believed that art imitates life. The painter represents what he or she sees by producing a painting on a canvas. The art changes the way we view the world, and in fact, life sometimes imitates art rather than the other way around. Throughout, history, it has always been the case that art has the power to change society.

The artist could participate in the transformation of society by using visual images as an agent of social progress. Art could be a critical as well as a descriptive representation of life.

    Art & Society...

The things which shaping the world are reflect in my paintings. My art largely focuses on socially relevant subjects and day-to-day happenings that inspire or move me.

When Anna Hajare, a prominent social activist, went on a hunger strike and led a movement against corruption, through the Gandhian philosophy of satyagraha, I painted to support him. This work was then signed by him, along with a message to encourage my work further.

    Empowerment of society.

Women...the most marginalised community in the world. Crime against woman happens everywhere: it happens inside homes, in families, in neighbourhoods, in police stations, in towns and cities, in villages, and its incidence increases, as is happening in India, as society goes through change, as women’s roles begin to change, as economies slow down and the slice of the pie becomes smaller — and it is connected to all these things. Just as it is integrally and fundamentally connected to the disregard, and indeed the hatred, for females that is so evident in the killing of female foetuses. For so widespread a crime, band aid solutions are not the answer.

Men can stop violence against women.

All men have the capacity and desire to play a positive role in creating communities free from violence. Men must join with women as allies in creating an equitable and just world for all genders in order to end men's violence against women.Only one person makes the choice to rape. There are things we can (and should!) do to protect ourselves, but the only person who can prevent rape is the rapist himself.

With the help of my paintings I also try to encourage victims of rape, who have lost hope, with a view to garner support for them in society, particularly due to the stigma attached to such victims, especially in a country like India.

    Back again...

To write something is more difficult than...to draw or paint something. If the feelings are express by lines, colour than who needs words.

For me its great honour of my art & my painting. Some called him God of Cricket, some called him Mater Blaster. But for me he is the King of Millennium.
